Engineering Management in Agribusiness

Master’s programme in Engineering Management in Agribusiness is designed in accordance with the Law on Higher Education and Bologna Declaration. Its main objective is to provide comprehensive and quality education, as well as to enable young specialists to successfully perform business activities in the field of engineering management in agricultural, livestock and food industry. Special emphasis is placed on providing students with highly specialised knowledge in engineering in agricultural production and engineering in food industry, with the opportunity to deepen their knowledge of agricultural products market and trade, or in multifunctional production and agricultural policy and rural development.

Master in Engineering Management in Agribusiness study programme extends and enriches knowledge that students previously acquired during undergraduate academic studies and enhances their skills of conducting complex managerial and analytical activities in the domain of biotechnology. Upon completing the study programme, students may find employment in numerous organizations and institutions engaged in activities in the domain of agriculture, cooperatives, inspectorates, certification and quality control bodies, including public administration and other governmental institutions responsible for agriculture and food production at the local and the national level.

Master academic studies last 1 year and are worth to 60 ECTS credits. Upon completing the Master in Engineering Management in Agribusiness study programme, students will be conferred the academic degree of a MASTER OF ENGINEERING MANAGEMENT. After completing the studies, the student may proceed with doctoral studies which last for three years.

Teaching is accomplished in small groups and through mentor work, by establishing direct contact between students and professors. Emphasis is placed on stressing individual, creative development of students, teamwork, acquiring appropriate theoretical and practical knowledge and using modern technology. Visits of economic experts also contribute to the quality of teaching process.
