Faculty of Economics and Engineering Management in Novi Sad has been involved in student and teacher exchange since the start of the ERASMUS program at the University Business Academy in Novi Sad. Erasmus Academic Coordinator at the Faculty is Vice Dean for International Relations Assis. Prof. Dr. Nikola Puvača.
ERASMUS+ is a European Union program providing funding for cooperation projects in the fields of education and training, youth and sport.
In the broadest sense, the program ERASMUS+ in the field of education has the following priorities:
- to promote and support the development of all levels of education,
- to strengthen the links between formal, non-formal and informal learning,
- to strengthen the link between education and the world of work,
- to create added value for the European area of education,
- link Member States in defining education policies.
The focus of ERASMUS+ is to strengthen young people's potential for active participation in civil society, developing leadership skills, solidarity and understanding between cultures.
In sports, cooperation and networking of sports organizations and support for projects that can indirectly contribute to the mitigation of social and economic aspects of physical inactivity are a priority.
ERASMUS+ promotes the recognition and evaluation of qualifications gained in education, open access to educational materials, documents and media content generated by funded projects and beyond, as well as the international dimension of activities, multilingualism, equality and inclusive access to education.
Parts of ERASMUS+
ERASMUS+ contains several types of projects, which are classified into 3 main parts (key activities) and 2 specific:
PROGRAM PARTS are:
Key Activity 1: Mobility
KA1 (Key Activity 1) covers projects related to mobility in the field of education and young people, as well as creating joint study programs between European universities.
Key Activity 2: Cooperation in the field of innovation and exchange of good practices
KA2 (Key Activity 2) refers to different types of institutional cooperation projects in the fields of education, youth, and sport.
Key Activity 3: Support for Policy Advancement
KA3 (Key Activity 3) provides funding for projects that support the promotion of educational and youth policies.

Countries participating in the program are divided into programmatic and affiliate programs.
Program countries are all EU countries, as well as Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Turkey, North Macedonia and Serbia. (They can participate in all parts of the program.)
Partner countries are first and foremost the countries of the region surrounding the European Union, but also all other countries of the world. (They may participate in certain parts of the program).
