The doctoral study program: Computer Technology and Informatics has been designed in accordance with the Law on Higher Education and the Bologna Declaration. The study program Computer Technology and Informatics is based on the current need for professionals of the highest level of education trained for the implementation of original and scientifically relevant research in the field of electrical engineering and computer science. The main aim when developing this study program was to foster science, critical thinking and the education of young professionals trained to independently perform original and scientific research in the field of electrical engineering and computer science, as well as participate in the development of new procedures that contribute to the overall development of the society. Hence, the given study program enables students to acquire scientific abilities and academic skills, develop creative potentials and master the practical skills necessary for successful career development in the field of complex systems management in international and domestic institutions, as well as state and private organizations and enterprises.
Upon completion of doctoral studies, students are expected to become knowledgeable and skillful intellectuals, capable of independent research in the field of computer technology and informatics. The graduates of doctoral academic studies in Computer Technology and Informatics will be competent to conduct research and solve real problems of managing a company in a modern information environment, as well as to develop systems for planning and managing company resources. Their competencies will primarily include the development of critical thinking skills, the ability to analyze problems, synthesize solutions, and predict the effects of the chosen solution with a clear idea of its good and bad sides.
Doctoral study program in Computer Technology and Informatics lasts three years and, upon its completion, the student acquires a total of 180 ECTS and the academic title: DOCTOR OF SCIENCE - ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING AND COMPUTER SCIENCE.
Teaching is conducted in the form of mentoring students which implies direct contact between students and their professor. The emphasis is placed on personal growth of each individual, development of creative potentials in students, acquisition of relevant theoretical and practical knowledge and use of modern technology.
